Description
Fender Japan MG73 Competition Mustang Candy Apple Red Seymour Duncan JB Jr Kurt.
Upgraded to have a Seymour Duncan JB Junior Single Coil Humbucker in the bridge, with 500k potentiometers for a huge clear sound.
Another upgrade is the addition of the (removable) Fender American Mustang Bridge Cover, just like the original Mustangs from the 1970s.
The tremolo has been set up permanently so that it returns to pitch every time. The guitar has been freshly strung with Ernie Ball 11-48 strings.
This beautiful lightweight Fender Japan MG73 Competition Mustang in the rare Candy Apple Red finish was made at the Fujigen factory in 2012 and is in excellent condition aside from a few tiny dings/finish imperfections. The worst being a couple of superficial lacquer cracks in the neck pocket, the worst of which is shown in the photographs. This has made absolutely no impact on the neck pocket whatsoever, as literally only the lacquer has been affected. This has all been taken into account and is reflected in the price, these guitars usually sell for well over £1k.
The guitar comes complete with the original tremolo arm, allen key and Fender Japan certificate, tag etc.
I will also include the Fender Deluxe Gig Bag (which was bought separately).
