Fela Anikulapo Kuti - Box Set 1 - Barclay 547 035-1

 

This Numbered Limited Edition box set contains:

 

1) Six original, remastered Fela Kuti LPs with original artwork

 

2) Six color postcards featuring portraits of Fela’s wives/dancers

 

3) A 12”x12”, 10-page, full-color booklet with rare photos and an essay.

 

 

All material is packaged in a sturdy, numbered box.

 

The Box Set includes the following records (original release year):

 

LP A: Open & Close (1971)

 

LP B: Gentleman (1973)

 

LP C: Upside Down (1976)

 

LP D: Yellow Fever (1976)

 

LP E: J.J.D.(Johnny Just Drop) (Gatefold Cover) (1977)

 

LP F: I.T.T.(International Thief Thief) (1980)

 

 

Produced in the late nineties, this was the first in a series of highly-collectable Fela vinyl box sets. The first volume is the rarest, and most collectible, and has been out of print for years. This box set is numbered 1222.

 

All LPs are near mint and have been played once, if at all. The booklet has only been touched in order to take photos. All postcards and booklet are as pristine as the day this set was purchased. There are no scratches or marks anywhere on the box. For all intents and purposes, this is in mint condition.
