Faust's classic debut from 1971 in the original Polydor pressing

The record is in very good condition overall. Visually it is very good. There are no appreciable scratches or marks but there is some light brown staining towards the edge at a couple of points (see photos). The sound is also very good. There is some light crackling at the start of each side that seems to co-incide with the staining but this is not too intrusive once the music starts. The lp looks like it would benefit from a professional clean but unfortunately I don't have the equipment. The labels are a conservative very good. There are some finger marks which the silver labels are prone to but no writing stickers or tears and there is little or no wear to the holes.
The cover is in good condition. It is a notoriously fragile cover as the plastic is prone to hardening and becoming brittle. This has resulted in splitting at the edges and the loss of a small 1cm by 2mm piece on the spine and a similar one on the top.
The inner lyric sheet is in very good condition. It would be graded excellent but for a 1mm loss at one corner that makes no apprecaible difference to the overall.
I am not a dealer but am finally getting rid of my vinyl collection, almost all of it first pressings including Stones, Beatles, Animals, Dylan, Byrds, Floyd, Zep, loads of krautrock and numerous UK Motown lps (mostly non-compilations). Keep a look out. I'll be listing them over the coming months as time permits.
