RCA VICTOR LSC 2449
Shaded Dog L2 RY2148 1/S
I do not use record-seller grading systems. But if I did, the sleeve would be “MINT.”
Record surfaces:
Faust - Some visible surface marring (not scratches) with some audible in quietest sections.
Carmen – Similar visible surface marring (Entr’acte – Aragonaise), but not audible. Very quiet throughout. Spacious soundstage, depth, crispness—what you’d expect. Depth-bomb bass in the Habanera. Spectacular. The crescendos in the Prelude sound a might over-driven, in my opinion.
Inner sleeve is a replacement.
NOTE: I do not subject my vinyl to any cleaning processes. Listeners may hear some static and extraneous pops. Any issues I describe here I am assuming are not amenable to cleaning.
Played through on a Revox linear tracking turntable with a new cartridge and stylus.
I do not use "visual inspection" as the only criteria for vinyl condition. And I do not use vinyl sellers' grading systems.
