Fanny. Three Vinyls.


I first heard of Fanny when a local radio station in Chicago played the single “Charity Ball”. I loved that track and always looked forward to a new single or album from this all-girl group. Having recently moved, I’m (once again) opening boxes and finding things. Here are three vinyl albums by Fanny. (One is signed by drummer Alice de Buhr.)


  1. “Mothers Pride”  This 1973 vinyl album is a promotional copy (note the Warner Bros. Sticker on the cover) that I received from Chicago independent promotion rep Howard Bedno (his own contact sticker is also on the front of the LP shrink-wrap.)
  2. The album was produced by Todd Rundgren.
  3. It was released on the Reprise label.
  4. The Selection number is MS-2137.
  5. It remains sealed so I don’t know if this is a white label or commercial copy.
  6. Tracks are:

  3. It was released on the Reprise label.
  4. Selection number is RS-6416.
  5. This album copy is in a gatefold jacket. 
  6. The vinyl LP has promotional/white labels on the disc.

  6. This vinyl album is in a standard jacket. 
  7. The vinyl LP has regular Reprise labels on the disc.
