Description
Up for auction is a nice copy of the ultra rare Funkadelic psyche-funk album "Standing On The Verge Of Getting It On" originally released in the U.S. on Westbound Records (WB 1001) in 1974.

Condition: The cover is still in nice condition with moderate signs of wear and age. Front and back are clean and colorful, no ring wear. Seams are strong, intact, no splits, but they do show some moderate rubbing. Corners show rubbing (see photos). Interior gatefold looks colorful and clean. Factory cut-out upper right corner (Westbound often cut the corners of their Promo copies). Overall, still and attractive presentable copy. Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+).
The vinyl is also still in nice shape, still retains much of its original shine. No major scratches or scuffs, but it does show a number of light hairlines on both sides, but nothing deep or trouble causing, nothing that can be felt which affect the quality of playback. This record has been played several times, but it's been well-cared for, not man-handled.
Play-Tested: The record sound quality is still very good. It does have some light background noise that's only noticeable in the quiet passages, but it's not really distracting from the music experience, and it's not noticeable when the music kicks in. Not audiophile clean, but none of these originals are. Still a very collectible and attractive copy. Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+).
