We dare say this: This is a MOTHER of all Garage/Psych albums. The album represented a radical shift for the Fugs, from the political-activist first album, which could be characterized as folk songs of political protest played in a "garage" way, to this, their second album, which is an all-out electric assault on good taste and burgoisie (right on, dudes!) . There would NEVER be any so-called New York Rock (Velvets, Patti Smith, Ramones, New York Dolls, Television) if the Fugs didn't break the ground first. Derelicts of the world, unite!!! Finding a still sealed original MONO copy?!?! Forget it – not even a HOPE!!! This may be the last one you will ever see.

(a)          THE ALBUM IS STILL FACTORY SEALED AND IS BELIEVED TO BE PERFECTLY MINT. Please note: sealed items are assumed to be mint and are sold as-is, as we have no way of inspecting them. For our policy on still sealed records ►click here (PLEASE READ BEFORE PLACING A BID).

(b)          The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(c)             The record is STILL in its original inner, perforated plastic baggy, which must have shielded the record from the harmful impact of elements over many years! (We can see it through the opening slot of the cover)

(d)          Mono pressing of this title is much rarer, and by far more preferable to its stereo counterpart. We think that the mix is more natural, humane, "organic" and that the mixes are somewhat different than on the stereo version. We estimate that stereo copies of this album outnumber mono pressings by a ratio of at least 3:1.

(e)           Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

COVER IS STRONG NEAR MINT, STILL SEALED AND COVERED IN ITS ORIGINAL ►SHRINK WRAP

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Cover shows JUST A HINT of yellowing on both sides, apparently from aging.

-         Back cover has circular tarnish (grayish, dust-covered sections, which closely follow the contour of the record), probably caused by friction or by rubbing against other covers during the storage. The tarnish is similar in appearance to a common ring wear, but, UNLIKE ring wear, these grayish areas may be possible to clean up with a minor effort and with a right cleansing solution [PLEASE NOTE: WE GUARANTEE THAT THIS ALBUM HAS NOT BEEN RESEALED!].
