This is truly a thing of great beauty, to both the ears and the eyes, and surely a 'must have' for anyone collecting iconic punk/hardcore 45s. It was released by Sub Pop in 1989 as part of their first volume of Singles Club releases, in a hand-made edition of only 2000 copies (800 black, 1200 green). The packaging is really lovely, with a printed rice or tracing paper fold-around outer, which folds over a thick-ish buff card insert to produce the effect as seen in the pictures above. The white paper inner is also over-printed with credits, song lyrics etc. and all housed in a clear poly outer. The good news is that everything is lovely and clean condition-wise and the record MIGHT be unplayed. I have been lucky enough to own 2 copies of this single since release (along with a black vinyl copy) and I know that one has been played just a couple of times while the other was never played - the thing is that I'm not sure which is the unplayed copy! But suffice to say that all the artwork is lovely and clean (EX/EX+ at least) while the worst I can find on the record (viewed under a very bright halogen bulb) is the odd mega-light hairline only. A really nice copy of a great record by a fantastic band.

VINYL GRADING

NEW: note that still sealed items will be presumed to be in 'new' condition, but are obviously sold as seen. Any visible signs of wear/storage etc. beneath the shrinkwrap will be mentioned.

MINT: note please note that I will NEVER use the 'MINT' grade, as I think you are asking for trouble! The highest grade for an item that is not new will use will be NM (Near Mint).

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in very close to 'as new' condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in almost perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played a number of times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and maybe some occasional light scratches. If there is any surface noise it will be occasional, light and unobtrusive. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has obviously been played a lot and while it still plays through OK, it will have a lot of surface marks and/or light scratches (maybe also the occasional 'feelable' scratch) and most likely there there will be regular and noticeable surface noise. The cover and contents may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine and/or seam splits, discoloration, etc.

If you live anywhere else then your parcel MUST be insured, the cost of which is to be covered by the buyer. Very sorry, but NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule.

If you live in a country that I am prepared to send by regular, uninsured mail please bear in mind that I always get a receipt and proof of posting for every item sent, but THERE WILL NOT BE A TRACKING NUMBER UNLESS YOU HAVE PAID FOR INSURED/TRACKED MAIL. Should an item take longer than expected to arrive, I will do everything I can to help, but please don't assume that there is a tracking number! Most overseas buyers seem to assume this, for some reason! If you want the item to be tracked, please choose the 'International Signed For' option at checkout - thanks!

Finally, please note that if your item (or if the combined values of the items in a single parcel) is £20.00 or above, then insurance is compulsory wherever you live. This is an extra £1.10 for 'Signed For' in the UK (up to the value of £50, after which extra cover will need to be paid for by the buyer) or an extra £5.30 for overseas buyers to cover 'International Signed For'.
