INCREDIBLE FOLK psych from this duo from Nuneaton, Warwickshire. The album met with little fanfare and sank without trace - a pity as its a gorgeous blend of traditional English folk and scathing acid rock with ripping lead guitar work. I can't really compare it to any other act except maybe Comus. The songs are tremendous and the arrangements are seriously professional and well executed. Has now become a major rarity not just because of its scarcity but primarilly because of its musical content.
Bizzarely every copy of this album offered for sale suffers from tiny pressing bubbles and this one is no exception. Having said that, playback is really strong. Yes, some clicks and pops are noticeable but in the main its a solid example of a wonderful record that is getting harder and harder to locate.
Pressing: RCA, UK, 1971
Vinyl: Nice copy. No spindle marks and just light signs of use. Grades as Ex but suffers from the tiny pressing bubbles common to every copy I've ever seen. However playback is solid and very enjoyable.
Cover: Signs of use to rear panel. Issued in a beautifully designed front laminated cover - retains nice gloss. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff, square and uncrushed. Rear panel is unlaminated and displays ring and storage wear and a faint crease bottom right. Grades as Vg+
