Very rare 1992 original withdrawn DCC 180g Audiophile pressing, 21 years old now, and

STILL SEALED!

 

 

Long out-of-print Audiophile pressing of Cream’s 1966 classic Lp "Fresh Cream", mastered by Steve Hoffman on 180g vinyl for DCC.

 

A very hard-to-find classic from the first DCC pressing with all four (4) bonus tracks, in factory sealed condition.

 

 

There is often confusion over the difference between the earliest pressings of this DCC album with 4 bonus tracks, and the second pressing with only 3 bonus tracks.  This is the early version with FOUR bonus tracks, including “Rollin’ and Tumblin’” in MONO. 

 

I don’t know the exact cut-off number (i.e., Limited Edition number) when it changed from FOUR bonus tracks (including the Mono version of “Rollin’ and Tumblin”) to the 2nd pressing reissue with only THREE bonus tracks, without the Mono version of “Rollin’ and Tumblin”.  I would expect that they used up all of the original covers showing FOUR bonus tracks until they were gone, in which case some sealed copies showing all four bonus tracks would contain LPs that actually only have three bonus tracks.  Normally the only way you could be sure if you have the FOUR bonus track version is if the copy is open.

Since this example is Limited Edition #0010, and from Steve Hoffman’s personal collection, you can be sure this is the real deal with all four bonus tracks.

(Near Mint) No ring-wear, no edge wear, no seam-splits, straight corners.  The perforated plastic along the opening edge of the loose-fit outer plastic cover is completely intact and sealed. 

Small gold foil sticker (Limited Edition # 0010) on back cover, lower left-hand corner.

 

Top condition collector quality example, an all-time classic album, with an online verifiable provenance straight from the source, and it’s still sealed.

Packaging:

The sealed album will be placed inside another clear poly outer protective album cover, then sandwiched between two cardboard stiffener pads (cut larger than album-size) which are then carefully taped together.  The larger cardboard reinforcement pads help to prevent corner dings, and securing the album between two cardboard reinforcement pads also helps to prevent seam splits to the cover of sealed records during transit.  I have used this method for many years to practically eliminate seam splits on sealed LPs. 

The album is then packaged in a thick record LP mailer box with room for more cardboard stiffeners and bubble-wrap, then sealed all around.  I know what it is like to receive poorly packaged records, you will not have that experience with me!
