I was made redundant during the pandemic, following which my partner and I were generously gifted her Dad’s vinyl collection to help raise some extra funds (he no longer owns a record player and has no use for them, having kept them in storage for a number of years). Many are early UK pressings of classic rock and Motown albums from the 60s, 70s and 80s - the records themselves are generally in excellent condition (sleeve conditions may vary), with some having evidently only been played a handful of times since purchase.

Check out my other items, as I'm selling more rock/indie/alternative vinyl from the 60s/70s/80s/90s/00s and am happy to combine postage for multiple purchases!

GRADING & CONDITION INFO – PLEASE READ IN FULL BEFORE BIDDING/PURCHASE!

I am a vinyl collector myself, so know how disappointing it can be when listings either aren’t accurate or the seller doesn’t take sufficient care with postage! I have therefore tried my best to list and show all defects, no matter how minor - for rarer and collectible items, I also tend to grade quite conservatively to err on the side of caution.

ALL RECORDS HAVE BEEN PLAYED THROUGH FROM START TO FINISH TO ASCERTAIN THEIR CONDITION PRIOR TO LISTING. While the grading of vinyl always retains a degree of subjectivity due to different people’s interpretations of the criteria, they have been graded to a standard that I would personally be happy receiving as a (quite fussy!) purchaser/collector. I use a (+) and (-) system to try and give a slightly more accurate grade where applicable.

Advisory grading is therefore as follows -

VINYL: Ex (very light surface crackle in a handful of places – basically just general vinyl surface noise! A couple of small pops on B3 – not intrusive. Clean with no jumps.)
SLEEVE: VG+ (light surface creasing, bumps and scuffs in a few places from general storage – most notable in top-right corner of cover, but this is only really visible in the light. Please note that the sleeve edges do not perfectly align  at the top and inside due to a manufacturing issue ).
INNER: VG (some yellowing/discolouration from age, plus surface ‘bubbling’ due to shape of record)

* Please be aware that the play-quality of any vinyl record is always dependent on stylus sensitivity and the quality of the owner’s audio equipment, so it is impossible to be 100% accurate with grading veracity (my own home set-up is a fairly modest SoundLab turntable, Lepai mini-amp and 2 x Bose speakers). I have therefore done my best to flag any potential issues for the sake of transparency, but can obviously only grade records based on the sound coming from my own equipment!

Due to my personal circumstances, I cannot give refunds or accept returns (particularly if requests are based on subjective interpretations of grading criteria), so please ensure that you have read the item description in full before buying and are satisfied with this.

All records are sold and dispatched as shown/described here. In the unlikely event that there is any problem with your item, please contact me before leaving feedback and I will do my best to resolve this in a way that’s fair to both buyer and seller. However, please note that I cannot be held responsible for any damage sustained in transmit when all reasonable precautions have been taken to ensure the item’s safety!

POSTAGE INFO

* Records are posted in sturdy packaging with cardboard stiffeners used on either side to prevent damage in transit.

* Standard UK postage for items under £20 is 2nd Class (or Standard International Delivery for orders).

* If you would like 1st Class / Signed For postage (UK) or Track & Trace (international), please ask before paying and I will send you a revised quote for this.

* Records which are anticipated as selling for a value higher than £20 are listed with 2nd Class Signed For delivery as standard (Tracked/Signed for international orders) to ensure security. Proof of postage is obtained for all domestic and international orders.

* Wherever possible, I endeavour to dispatch most items the day after payment is received.

* I will potentially post overseas (US/Canada/Australia) on request, but please note that all overseas orders will need to be fully tracked and insured at the point of purchase.  Buyers are also responsible for any customs charges levied by their own country. Due to customs issues resulting from Brexit, I am currently unable to post items to the EU – apologies in advance for any disappointment this may cause!
