FREE "FIRE AND WATER"
RARE PINK ISLAND WHITE i , FIRST PRESSING, ILPS 9120. IN STEREO.
RELEASED IN 1970.
First Pressing Matrix Numbers ILPS 9120 side1: A-1 followed by 1 1 , and side2: B1 followd by 1 2 9
An Outstanding and Exceptional Album from Free, amazingly almost 40 years old!!!.
The Record is in excellent condition. The Labels are excellent, original Pink Island "white i" label. Both Labels are very clean and show only minimal signs of spindle marking and there is no wear to the centre holes. No writing on the labels. The record plays extremely well, hardly any background noise, only very slight to run ins where needle has dropped as is common, and very slight on the very quietest parts, overall a fabulous record.
The Vinyl surface is very good, very clean and has an excellent sheen, wonderful thick 60's Isalnd vinyl, Superb vinyl.!! The record plays through very well. Please note there are some light visible surface marks/scuffs which are noticable when viewed under a strong light, as is normally the case with older and played records, and, overall, other than this the record is excellent plays through very well on both sides.
The Sleeve is in very good condition, thin card with a Full Matt Finish Sleeve, which made it prone to wear. Very clean Sleeve, No grubby marks or unwanted writing, some light edge wear, particularly to extreme edges/corners. very minor seam split 5mm to each corner of opening edge, not noticale, suggest light edge wear through storage only. There are No nasty creases, No tears, No writing, No tear marks or rips. Some very light creasing visible around opening edge of cover, although the opening edges are reasonably sharp and show only minor signs of wear. The thin spine is rigid, some light surface wear, crease free, most of the text is still intact. Original Sleeve printed and made by the MacNeil Press Ltd.
Record comes complete with the Original Poly-lined Paper Inner Sleeve which warns of the "dangers of suffocation".
Rare Island Record, and no doubt getting harder to find in decent condition, !!
