FREE - FIRE AND WATER - VINYL 1970 ISLAND 1ST PRESS TRAFFIC MISPRESS!!.
This is the rarer palm tree Island first press. The pink label was first and then island re-released the album after the mix was enhanced. The labels put together for the first batch still had the Traffic batch left on the printing press, from their LP that had been released prior to Fire and Water. This is therefore quite hard to find!
The sleeve is lovely on this copy of which I have many, it is easily near mint which is hard to find on the particular album, due to use they had. The only fault which is a real shame, is that the previous owner wrote 33 on the bottom corner, otherwise it would be staying with me.
The inner sleeve has also been written on by the previous owner, but these can be replaced easily. I’ve left these together as I don’t like splitting the parts up as a collector.
The vinyl is nice as well and graded as at least VG plus with no problems to the sound quality at all.
Overall a really nice copy of this LP, there are a lot out there, but harder to find in this condition, or with this label.
