Hi, I am Mike, a music collector for over 30 years now. I usually Play-Grade the records I offer (on a Rega 3 deck with Ortofon cartridge) - visuals alone do not always tell a true or full story - I will mention any defects or flaws no matter how small that I notice to be fair as possible to any interested party. All the pictures I use for your guidance are taken with my digital camera or scanned - they are NOT improved, cleaned-up or made better looking than they are with camera trickery or enhancing with digital programmes. Label and Condition: Island full pink label with large white i. Super clean very rough textured labels that show only very light spindle traces. These are a pair of the finest rough Island labels I have seen for a while - stunning.

Album Information: Free’s classic second album, and my personal favourite from this fine UK blues/rock band. Featuring the legendary guitarist Paul Kossoff along with Paul Rodgers - one of the greatest vocalists of this time, Andy Fraser and Simon Kirke. This is a superb, very early copy that features that very famous cover - a nude famale as viewed from directly underneath, a very risque cover to say the least, with little left to the imagination. The centre gatefold is very dark: the nude girl again knealing on a grave with the four band members pictures on square blocks. All quite surreal but very effective. This copy is fine condition, the cover does have a sticker residue on the top right, this may be removeable but I would leave that decision to the winning bidder. The record is superb and plays with stunning sound and clarity. A fine set that should please most collectors.

Cover Condition and Details: Excellent, gatefold, Printed and made by E. J. Day, London. A very nice cover with only minor light wear and that sticker residue. Still very attractive and that very brave girl picture makes this one quite unique.

Cover Lamination: None

Cover Front: Due to lack of laminate this one, when found, is often in poor shape with more often than not large amounts of rub wear and heavily discoloured. Well this front has only a light right near the top, adjacent to that sticker mark. Very clean and without creases, this cover is still very attractive indeed.

Cover Back: The back is really super clean considering its mainly white - few marks or any hint of grubbiness. Again no creases or rubbing. A tiny light press mark near the top if being quite critical. A very fine attractive back cover.

Cover Gatefold Inner: Absolutely magnficent, pristine clean and no wear at all.

Cover Edges: Just light rub traces on the top edge, the bottom shows little (its white anyway). The leading edges are all solid with just a tiny light frey in the centre (very minor indeed). The spine is thick and solid with no wear, all its text is pristine. All corners are solid and unworn. A fine cover with only light wear but is still very attractive and should please most collectors.

Vinyl Condition: Mint(-), clean and shiny and pressed on very solid vinyl. This is a superb record, one that looks little played. Few marks at all - I saw a minute mark on track three - its has a two rev tick only and that pretty much it for the whole album. Deep grooved and sound quality is astonishing. I thought the new CDs were of high quality but this very early pressed album (maybe even a first) is vastly superior. Play this on a quality deck and check for yourself: the basslines, always a major part of the Free sound are stunningly clear and powerful, and have no hint of any distortion. Surface sounds from this copy of almost non-existent. Beautiful clear and rich sound, this is spine-tingling good - my play-grading was a pure joy. This fine copy does full justice to this very fine album. A record for the discerning collector.

Album Played For Grading: Yes, a true pleasure.

Final Summary: Following the magnificent Tons of Sobs debut, this album progresses nicely, slightly more mellow but highly compelling, Rodgers vocals are quite magnificent. A band that still maybe are slightly underrated compared with the greats, but take it from me Free simply were one of the very best UK bands around at this time. I strongly recommend this beautiful album.

Europe: £4. This is covered up to £28 (45 Euros) insurance and would be sent 1st-class airmail. A recorded airmail service is now in place for Europe too: this means any item will be fully covered to its true value, No customs sticker is needed for Europe, so this is a worthwhile investment. This costs extra £3, the item is tracked and the item has to be signed for - I will use this service to Europe as standard for very expensive rare items e.g. records over £75.

USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and other Far Eastern countries etc: £5.50. This is covered up to £28 (43 US Dollars) insurance and would be sent 1st-class airmail. Please note I do not profit on postage (my packing standards are high and the package weighs a little more).

Extra insurance is available for non-UK items but bear in mind I have to state the true value of the item on the parcel and customs would be aware and you may well get charged import duties.

PLEASE NOTE: I will NOT use surface mail, its too slow, with a higher risk of loss and damage.

Mailing Details: All records are sent in plastic covers with the record taken out of the sleeve and sent in professional mailers with a minimum of TWO stiffners for extra protection. More expensive items are also inserted into a de-luxe heavy duty padded bag AS WELL to give that extra protection and three or four stiffners. I truly want ALL my items to arrive to their destination in the same condition they leave me.
