Here is a very rare 10 LP box set titled "The History & Collected Improvisations of Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention". After doing some research, I've found some details about this very limited release. In addition to the 10 LPs there is also a 36-page (counting the cover) booklet called "Ten Years on the Road with Frank Zappa & the Mothers of Invention", consisting of reproductions of various newspaper, magazine and other articles. The vinyl on all of the records is clean with no scratches or other scuffs. The vinyl appears to have hardly been played. Although the vinyl is Near Mint as far as sound quality, 6 of the 10 records show a very slight "dishing". There is a little bit of a curve to one side of the record. I played/spot checked both sides of each of these records and they play just fine. There is no distortion, or other sound problems. The booklet is in great condition. The vintage news articles and press clippings are very clear and readable. Great pictures too. The box for this set is also in really nice condition, no splits or tears. The paper on the back of the box that lists the songs, etc., is peeling away from the box in the bottom left hand corner. The sound quality of all of the recordings is very good. There is a lot of Zappa talking and interacting with the audience. This would really be a great addition to any Zappa or record collection. Please check out the photos of the Box Set and the Booklet.
