This is an ORIGINAL 1966 EARLY PRESSING VERVE RECORDS U.S. BLUE LABEL 2 LP STEREO ISSUE of the first Frank Zappa / Mothers Of Invention album titled 'Freak Out!'. It is Verve Records U.S. catalog number V6-5005-2X, gatefold cover, blue Verve Records labels, thick rigid vinyl pressing, with original Verve Records stock company inner sleeves. Inner right gatefold has the ad for the 'Freak Out Hot Spots' mail-in map.

Condition of both records is better than is usually seen with early pressings of this 2 LP set - Condition of both records is a high VG++/EX with both records having just a couple of light visible surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Condition of cover is VG with a worn area of ring wear along the bottom of the front cover as can be seen in my accompanying image, a little writing in blue ballpoint in the upper right area of the front cover, some general ring and contact wear, the very small 1/4" beginnings of splits at three of the four right and corners, and a fair amount of wear along the edges and on the corners. Verve Records stock inner sleeves have some slight wrinkles and some age discoloration, and a few splits in the middle of some of the edges which I have repaired with clear tape. This EARLY PRESS 2 LP set would be a nice cornerstone addition to any Frank Zappa or progressive rock record collection! Media mail postage within the U.S. is $4.00.
