Frank Zappa, Lumpy Gravy - Abnuceals Emuukha Electric Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.

Original 1968 UK Verve Records mono LP, VLP 9223. Earliest pressing and housed in externally laminated "wide spine" sleeve. Has very earliest 1/1 matrices and very earliest 1G/1G mothers/stampers. That said I believe this pressing had such limited sales these details may be true of all extant copies.

Vinyl shows signs of having been played with some spider trails around the spindle areas. These are quite light however. Playing surfaces are glossy and angling the disc in front of a light source some light scuff marks are noticeable but there are no deep marks or scratches.

Plays with some very soft crackle at quieter spots here and there but these instances are not detracting. No ticks or clicks. The sound is still rich and vibrant and not distorted.

The labels are bright and clean with a KT tax code embossed to the A side.

The sleeve is EX, and a very clean survivor. The laminated external panels retain a high gloss and are free of defects bar just a fraction of shelving rubbing and one or two minor laminate imperfections. Notably the wide spine is intact and not compressed, so tough to find like this. Matt inner of the gatefold is clean and unmarked bar a couple of very minor marks to bottom right corner. These are not particularly obtrusive as off white against a white backdrop.
