Description

This is an extraordinarily rare and obscure Zappa-related single: a box set of five singles by Eric Burdon & the Animals, including "It's All Meat" b/w "The Other Side of this Life" (MGM K13795). The single was originally Released August 21, 1967. Songs taken from the 1966 LP by Eric Burdon and the Animals: "Animalism" (MGM E/SE-4414). The B side of this single is one of two Zappa-arranged songs from that album--the other is "All Night Long" which Zappa himself wrote. It is very hard to find stock copies of this particular single.
The 5-single box set was released as part of MGM's "Celebrity Scene" series (CS 11-5). The box comes with two single sheets, one with cover artwork, the other with liner notes. There are no jukebox strips included. All singles are in their original factory sleeves.

Musicians include: Eric Burdon (vocals, harmonica), HIlton Valentine (guitar), Dave Rowberry (keyboards), Chas Chandler (bass), John Steel (drums) and Barry Jenkins (drums). Also featured are William Roberts (guitar), Lawrence Knethcel (keyboards), Carol Kaye (guitar) and John Guerin (drums).

All singles are NM, unplayed. Some of them have a few very light paper scuffs. The box itself is in EX condition. Just some minor wear.
