Description
This is an extraordinarily rare and obscure Zappa-related single: Eric Burdon & the Animals, doing "It's All Meat" b/w "The Other Side of this Life" (MGM K13795). Released August 21, 1967. Songs taken from the 1966 LP by Eric Burdon and the Animals: "Animalism" (MGM E/SE-4414). The B side of this single is one of two Zappa-arranged songs from that album--the other is "All Night Long" which Zappa himself wrote. "The Other Side of this Life" is written by Fred Neil.
An important thing should be noted about this single: the B side ("The Other Side of this Life") was arranged by Frank Zappa. Next, stock copies are very hard to find (so are promo copies, though slightly less so). What is more extraordinary is that this copy is in such beautiful shape (EX condition). Vinyl has some very light paper scuffs. Super high gloss. Labels are clean. Just some very light wear, more noticeable on the B side. No writing, stickers, or tears. And it comes in its original factory sleeve.
Musicians include: Eric Burdon (vocals, harmonica), HIlton Valentine (guitar), Dave Rowberry (keyboards), Chas Chandler (bass), John Steel (drums) and Barry Jenkins (drums). Also featured are William Roberts (guitar), Lawrence Knethcel (keyboards), Carol Kaye (guitar) and John Guerin (drums).
