LES ANGES (MAIN THEME) / LES ANGES (LARRY) ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST single by FRANCOIS DE ROUBAIX. Original French pressing on CAM label (SAG 41092), from 1973. Killer live drum patterns with robotic dub FX / synthesizers / unusual rhythms and breaks all over this amazing double-sider. Part futuristic and funky / part stoned and ambient like a weird mix of Teisco / Gianni Safred and Marcello Giombini but 100% French with those "je ne sais quoi" twists and turns, Roubaix excelled at. For sure, one of his most avantgarde productions, up there with Les Lèvres Rouges / Le Manège Aux Images et al ;) The main LES ANGES theme is the proto techno cum prog funk side with an industrial groove fusing hard jazz piano and frantic basslines with infectious beats and electronic sounds. The LES ANGES (LARRY) side is much more downtempo, compressed and lightly sinister with a cosmic sci-fi cum Zombie horror film ambience. Experimental mood music from the cult film directed by Jean Desvilles starring Bruno Pradal and Didier Haudepin. French-only Cam release that seldom comes up for sale in nice condition. Some insane loops and samples on this one. Striking artwork sleeve too. Rare OST 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG detroit house

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition overall regardless of a few hairlines / faint scuffs and old, pressing marks. Light surface noises. Some soft pops / soft ticks in places to the gentle "Larry" side (as you can hear on our soundclip) but quite normal for this release, in general. One side of label has a waxy / glue type droplet stain (see photo). The tactile, soft card picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition overall with some light corner and edge wear, in places. Some ring dirt marks to back sleeve from storage. Rare OST 45!!! avant avant-garde
