Recorded at The Garden studios in 1985, this reissue captures John Foxx in transition, moving from the metallic pulse of his early synth work toward something warmer and more reflective. The songs glow with a soft, dreamlike shimmer: 'Stars On Fire' and 'Shine On' swirl with luminous synth layers whilst 'Enter the Angel' and its reprise carry a quiet sense of transcendence. 'Spin Away', appearing on vinyl for the first time, bridges his electronic past and romantic new wave leanings with the melody feeling both restrained and radiant. Heard today, the music feels like an exhale and a glimpse of Foxx's gentler, more human side.
