MOTOWN COLLECTORS - ORIGINAL PICTURE SLEEVE ISSUES - ALWAYS HARD TO COME BY.
Here's a very nice original 1966 USA first issue copy with the elusive picture sleeve of this great pairing from THE FOUR TOPS with "REACH OUT I'LL BE THERE" and backed with "UNTIL YOU LOVE SOMEONE" on the US MOTOWN imprint # 1098.
Pricing has always been partly determined by the condition of the sleeve rather than the record itself and finding a copy with a decent matching picture sleeve has always been a challenge as many have become soiled and dog-eared over time with heavy creasing, rips, written annotations, price stickers, coffee staining as well as the inevitable deletion drill hole and ring wear. On a scale of 1 through 10 with "ten" being mint, I would rate this sleeve as "8" with light ring wear on both sides and light creasing with a small rip on the opening edge but without any written annotations and with some light foxing.
The disc itself plays perfectly throughout with great audible quality and remains in excellent plus condition with light crackle on the run-in and run-out groove and light surface sleeve rubs. The labels are very clean on both sides with minimal ring wear and not spoiled by a deletion drill hole making this a very decent copy of this rare combination for the DJ or collector (see picture scans).
