FORCE - Force lp
Doom Records # DM 01 U.S ( MD), 1991, test pressing, white label; one of only about 12 copies made as test pressings for a regular edition of 300; paste-on cover like the normal version but thinner paper; has photocopy of the generic-looking insert since this press wasn't issued with one.

Like new, almost certainly unplayed; obtained from the record label back when it first came out.
Absolutely awe-inspiring, jaw-dropping pre-release '91 test press lp issue of lost mid-80s tapes by FORCE, legendary Rockville, Maryland/ Northern Virginia hard rock combo who tore it up on the local scene for a while before their guitarist Alfred Morris went on to tour regionally with the East Coast BLACK SABBATH tribute band IRON MAN in the 80s and 90s.
Basement multi-track lp with a very in-the-pocket, early 70s feel, sounds often reminiscent of BLACK SABBATH's "Paranoid" only with female vocals, by singer Simona Queen! An early release to use the term "doom metal" in its own liner notes, it contains the mind-blowing instro strains of "C3PO," the incredible hard guitar sexy groove rockers "Not Today" and "Two Bit Romance," and the urban punk-ethos inspired "Kids With Nuclear Weapons," among other cranium-singeing pieces of sonic shrapnel. This band also put out a now mega-rare 12" e.p. in 1981, and were really one of the earliest bands ( of the 80s, anyway) in the whole SABBATH-inspired dark stoner hard rock/ doom metal genre. The home made recording quality crystallizes the sound in time and brings it all home.
This lp is a pre-release of the very first lp on the label, a label which, with its sister label, the more stoner rock oriented Peace Records, released such regional cult collectible classic lps by groups such as UNI-VERSE, EARTH GARDEN, OBSTINATION, HEAVY SOUL, THERE, THE OBSESSED ( " Live At The Wax Museum '83"), PENTAGRAM ( "'72 -'79" pts. 1 & 2, partially recycled later on "First Days Here" singles and out takes comp), BEDEMON ( "Child Of Darkness," long before Black Widow put it out, plus "Child Of Darkness II" on cd), all in very limited home made editions in the early 90s, before fading from the radar.
This album rocks!
