FOLLOWERS OF THE WAY -- Blessed Weakness Label: NFCLC. Impossibly RARE local St. Louis Xian Acid Folk LP from 1975. KILLER Male & Female vocals and guitar, recorder, bass, piano, trumpet, viola, drums. The stand out psych number is unquestionably Jesus Save The Popcorn. Acid Archives weighs in here:
Christian folkies, originally from MA but later based in Des Moines, IA .... The second LP from the sextet is more ambitious. Female vocals with acoustic and 12-string guitar, flute, recorder, piano, and hand percussion. Band originals all through. Recorded in St. Louis.
A superb and very rare privately pressed Xian folk rock album....Jesus rock guru Ken Scott gives this album a great review in his excellent reference book "The Archivist". The cover is VG++, very light ring wear and slight wear to top and bottom right corners. The vinyl is VG+, some light scratches and superficial sleeve scuffs. This one rarely come up for sale so please bid accordingly. I'll be listing several other private pressings of Xian folk, rock, psych, etc. in the near future, so check out my other auctions.
