Description
This is 'The Folklords' LP release entitled 'Release The Sunshine'. It was made in Canada and released in 1969 on Allied Records (Stereo Record No.11). It contains 12 songs.. This LP is extremely difficult to find these days.
The vinyl i'd say is for the most part in NM condition. The play and sound were virtually perfect when I tested it. The record jacket is in practically mint condition with the exception of the punch hole mark in the upper left corner. This is very common for LPs that were sent back to the distributor. The LP comes within an inner sleeve.
The Folklords, were a psych/folk rock band from Canada with male & female vocals. Here's the review from Joynson's psych reference " Dreams, Fantasies & Nightmares": As their name suggests a folk-rock outfit who came from Toronto, Ontario. Its smooth harmonies will attract folk-rock fans but the album is probably not varied enough to attract a wider audience. The songs are characterised by Johnson's autoharp and the often Donovan-like male vocals. It is quite sought-after by collectors. Jennifer Lee and Suzanne Marie have most immediate appeal and typified their style but Windows has a nice guitar intro. Martha Johnson later played with Martha and The Muffins.
