Description
Here is a super-rare and beautiful album by Flute and Voice called “Imaginations of Light” (German Pilz 20 21088-2). One of the rarest albums on the Pilz label, this 1971 release is one of the finest. The music is dreamy, meditative, and relaxing, with clear Eastern influences.
Flute and Voice were a duo. Hans Reffert (“Flute”) played electric and acoustic guitar in addition to flutes, and Hans Brandeis (“Voice”) played electric guitar and sitar in addition to occasional gentle vocals.
Happily, this rare album is in wonderful condition! Specifically:
- Sleeve
The fully laminated gatefold sleeve (pretty psychedelic, eh?!) is at least Excellent Plus. There is just the slightest feathering and laminate peeling around the opening for the record, but this is truly minor. Most people would call this Near Mint. - Vinyl
The vinyl is Near Mint, and the album plays beautifully! - Labels
The Pilz labels are great – there are NO spindle marks on Side One, and only minor spindle marks on Side Two. - Inner Sleeve
This album has what I believe to be the original plain white, plastic-lined inner sleeve. It is clean, but since there is a one-inch seam split, I will call it Excellent Plus.
