Here's one for New England garage completists...an acetate from Providence, RI by the band Flower Power. Topside is a raw, teen punk version of the Seeds' "No Escape" done up in the inept Back From The Grave style. Flipside is an equally crude stab at the Rolling Stones' ballad "Congratulations," complete with misspelling. As for condition...well, at least this sucker emerged unscathed from the historic floods we had here last month. The acetate is heavily marked up and plays with quite a bit of noise, but plays through without skipping. The labels in the first two photos wound up washed out as I was trying to show the condition of the acetate itself. Underneath are two close-up pictures of the labels themselves.
There were probably only a handful of these pressed up at the long-defunct New England Recording Studios (the same place that the Lonely Things acetate spotlighted by Erik Lindgren on the "New England Teen Scene: Unreleased" CD was born). Condition: */G (sleeve/vinyl)
M (mint) is reserved for unplayed, flawless stock copies. M- (mint minus) is the highest grade for a record in beautiful shape. EX (excellent) means there's a minor flaw on the sleeve (small crease, price sticker) or disc (fingerprint, harmless scratch). VG+ (very good plus) means a sleeve has minor shop wear — is creased and/or shows a ring impression, and the disc shows cosmetic signs of handling. VG (very good) means not for the anal-retentive. The sleeve shows multiple flaws (sticker tear, seam split, ring wear, rumpled top) and the disc has surface noise (no skips or thunderous pops) and multiple small scratches. VG- (very good minus) means the sleeve is "well loved" with numerous flaws while the vinyl is exhibits many flaws and is noisy. G (good) means the sleeve contains major flaws such as large tears, heavy staining, etc., while the vinyl is beat but playable with no skips. POSTAGE & PAYMENT U.S. shipping:
First class postage for 7-inches is $2.50 for up to two records, and 50 cents each additional 45. LPs are $3.50 media mail / $6.00 first class, and 50 cents each additional LP. For Canadian rates, add $1.

Airmail postage is $6 for one 45 and $1 each additional 45. LPs and 10" records are $12 via airmail and $2 each additional LP. The preferred method of payment is Paypal.
