PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare mus ic we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1968 first pressing of a great swinging London Psychedelic album, much styled after Traffic's "Mr Fantasy" '68 album = produced by Traffic's Dave Mason

The Beatles had originally intended to use the title Music In A Doll's House for the album they were recording during 1968, which became "The White Album". Overall, "Music In A Dolls House" is stylistically close to Traffic's "Mr. Fantasy" also the fact that it was produced by Traffic's Dave Mason being no stranger to this resemblance of course. Not widely known is that there are unaccredited Mellotrons and sitars on the album, but that probably is the result that Dave Mason was the culprit for these. There are 12 full tracks (one from Dave Mason) plus three reprises or variations of existing songs (actually they do not bring much more and help confuse the album a bit) and the mood is rather psychedelic but also downright progressive. Many excellent and catchy moments on the album, most notably The Chase, Me My Friend, Winter, Policeman, Voyage and Peace Of Mind. Take the opening track "The chase" for example. It is a melodic pop song with a bizarre Floydian ending. Roger Chapman's quivering vocal is unique but alluring, adding great colour to the 15 tracks included here. The songs are all short, the shortest is 23 seconds, and by today's standards under-developed but there is so much potential here. "Mellow grey" has some delightful unaccredited mellotron arrangement giving the track a dreamy, psychedelic atmosphere. That atmosphere is even more pronounced on the Traffic like "Never like this". "Music in a dolls house" is an astonishingly advanced album. It may not contain any hit singles, and is largely forgotten in the history of rock, but the reality is that it is a landmark album. CONDITION: The Cover: rated: "EX" (excellent) the fragile laminated UK cover contains the old '60s "flap-back" seams back cover amid brilliant colors. Far superior to the USA issue. very slight crinkle in lamination at far left, very minor. Otherwise very stiff and clean all over with NO shelf wear ... the colors are exact as 49 years ago ... no bends, no writing and no split seams
The Vinyl: all glossy over both sides, VG++ predominately clean has a couple of minor hairlines. Plays with "EX" excellent audio some minor ticks here or there. Both UK 3-tone steamboat Reprise labels are clean ...
