Description
This is a rare copy of "A CHANGE IS ON THE WAY" b/w "WHAT'S ON YOUR
MIND" by TERRY KNIGHT AND THE PACK, a garage rock band from Flint,
Michigan. It was pressed in the U.S. on the LUCKY 11 RECORDS label 229,
1966 Promotional copy. These guys were only together from 1965 to 1967,
but released nine singles in that time, this being number six, and two albums.
Both songs were written and produced by Terry Knight, who was the front man,
singer, and songwriter. Other band members were Don Brewer, Herm Jackson,
Bobby Caldwell, Mark Farner, and Curt Jackson. Terry Knight left the group
after the second album for a solo career as a singer and producer. In the early
seventies, Farner and Brewer would become the core of Grand Funk Railroad
for whom Knight was the original producer. Knight was murdered in 2004 at 61
years of age by his daughter's boyfriend, who stabbed him numerous times.
This 45 has close to NM labels with just a little wear, and the vinyl is NM. It
looks, plays, and sounds great. Amazing condition for any age.
