(1960) Original FIRST U.S. PRESSING BLP-4046/ DUKE JORDAN 'Flight to Jordan' MONO
FLIGHT TO JORDAN BLUE NOTE BLP 4046
This is the 1st original 1960 MONO U.S. pressing of a very hard to find Blue Note title with 47 West 63rd St. NYC address on both clean labels RVG and "ear" clearly stamped in the trail-off vinyl of both sides; DEEP GROOVE both sides; This thick and heavy glossy vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new and looks carefully played; does show spindle marks;
Vinyl Visually Graded : VG++/NM- (beautiful! glossy; clean; slt. non-audible surface scuff side 2 ONLY! ; clean labels)
Cover Grade: VG++/NM-(beautiful! very small three pin holes in corners; very small tape? residue REAR corners--only-see photo); corner edge wear (see photos as I have provided the enlargement feature);slt. line mark top rear cover; tight clean unrubbed SEAMS--see photos)
Play-Grade : (on my Thorens with V15 Shure cart) NEAR MINT minus: plays full-volume; deep resonance expected of original first pressings Blue Note pressing!! NO tics, NO clicks, NO skips, very occassional background noise in fade ins; audiophile playback for both sides; bottom line: Superb high fidelity sound !
1st original thick, laminated, glossy jacket; beautiful! (see photos to confirm this)- does have three small pin holes: one in each top corner; and one bottom center only—very neat and unobtrusive; bright white liner notes; insignificant, lightest, hardly visible hint of ring-wear not affecting the beauty and the integrity of the artwork whatsoever; This iconic Blue Note cover is stunning (see pics.) AGAIN, AN IMPORTANT RARELY OFFERED BLUE NOTE ORIGINAL..
