EARLIEST ''A1'' ''B1'' MATRIX ENDINGS! 

This is the earliest 1st issue stereo pressing! I have decided to list, this stereo pressing, this being the first time ever for me to list a stereo copy of this album. Please note, this is listed mainly for its rarety, having said that the stunning blues audio is clear and very vibrant without skips or jumps with just minimal interfearence in the odd,mainly quiet places.   Some , have asked me questions regarding how to tell mono and stereo pressings apart just by looking at them is easy - in keeping with other UK Blue Horizon issues of the era, stereo LPs had '' A7AC'' prefixes, although these are seen only on the labels and not on the front, rear or spine of the jacket (Some like this album listed feature a stereo sticker, but not all!) - again, The '' SA7'' prefixes for the 1st and 2nd lps are eroneously absent from many reputable price guides!!! Therefore the correct stereo cataloue numbers  for this album is ''S7-63205'' (MONO ISSUES 7-63205) For stereo pressings These numbers are machine -stamped in the matrix areas of the disc with 'AC A1CAC / ACB1AC' suffixes!!!!! There is also a -STEREO- logo At the top centre of the labels on stereo pressings and in addition to the Blue Horizon on the rear sleeve stating ' STEREO' CAN ALSO BE PLAYED ON MONO EQUIPMENT'' along with further ''AC BLUE HORIZON RECORDS''!!!!

'AC information to the inside gatefold layout - 1st issue MONO and STEREO labels have heavily textured and faceted appearance ! The best way to tell them apart, however is by PLAYING THEM!! The differences are many and various!, with both mono and stereo pressings proving a joy to listen to!!! Fantastic stereo seperation on this stereo copy, certainly but also a wonderful bar room quality mono original issue, with awesome\superbe resonance and fantastic tones, while revealing crystal clarity and sharpness in the top end and mid-range!!!! Both issues are absolutely ESSENTIAL for Fleetwood Mac and Peter Green collectors!!!! but there are simply not enough copies to go around! - in fact, there are so few mono issues of Mr. Wonderful in existance I cannot help wondering if the manufacturing process of mono pressings was halted at a very early stage in order to allow the ongoing release of this LP in stereo only - it is  indispensable British blues artefact!!!!!!

Fleetwood Mac are a British–American rock band formed in 1967 in London!!.

The only member present in the band from the very beginning is its namesake drummer, Mick Fleetwood. Despite band founder Peter Green naming the group by combining his two former bandmates' surnames (from John Mayall's Bluesbreakers—it was actually the title Green had given to a demo recording they had recorded while in Mayall's band), bassist John McVie did not play on their first single nor at their first concerts. Keyboardist Christine McVie has, to date, appeared on all but two albums, either as a member or as a session musician. She also supplied the artwork for the album Kiln House!!.

The two most successful periods for the band were during the late 1960s British blues boom, when they were led by guitarist Peter Green, and from 1975 to 1987, with more pop-orientation, featuring Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. The band enjoyed more modest success in the intervening period between 1971 and 1974, with the line-up including Bob Welch, and also during the 1990s which saw more personnel changes before the return of Nicks and Buckingham in 1997, and more recently, the departure of Christine McVie!!

Fleetwood Mac were formed in 1967 in London when Peter Green left the British blues band John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers. Green had replaced guitarist Eric Clapton in the Bluesbreakers, and received critical acclaim for his work on their album A Hard Road. After he had been in the Bluesbreakers for some time, Green asked if drummer Mick Fleetwood could replace Aynsley Dunbar. Green had been in two bands with Fleetwood — "Peter B's Looners" and the subsequent "Shotgun Express" (which featured a young vocalist named Rod Stewart). John Mayall agreed and Fleetwood became a member of the band!!.

The Bluesbreakers now consisted of Green, Fleetwood, John McVie and Mayall. Mayall gave Green free recording time as a gift, in which Fleetwood, McVie and Green recorded five songs. The fifth song was an instrumental which Green named after the rhythm section, "Fleetwood Mac".

Green contacted Fleetwood to form a new band. The pair desperately wanted McVie on bass and even named the band 'Fleetwood Mac' as a way to entice McVie. However McVie opted for the steady paycheque of the Mayall gig rather than the unknown of a new band. In the meantime Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood teamed up with talented slide player Jeremy Spencer and bassist Bob Brunning, who was in the band on the understanding that he would leave if and when McVie agreed to join. The Green, Fleetwood, Spencer, Brunning version of the band made its debut on 13 August 1967 at the Windsor Jazz and Blues Festival. Within weeks of this show, John McVie agreed to become the bassist for the band!!.

Fleetwood Mac's first album, Fleetwood Mac, was a no-frills blues album and was released on the Blue Horizon label in February 1968. In fact there were no other players on the album (except for the song "Long Grey Mare", which was recorded when Bob Brunning was in the band). The album was hugely successful in the UK, hitting no.4, though it did not have any singles on it. The band soon released two singles "Black Magic Woman" (later a big hit for Santana) and "Need Your Love So Bad".

The band's second album, Mr. Wonderful, was released in August 1968. Like the first it was an all-blues album, but this time they made a few changes. The album was recorded live in the studio with miked amplifiers and PA system, rather than plugged into the board. This method provided the ideal environment for producing this style of music, and gave it an authentically vintage sound. They also added horns and featured a friend of the band on keyboards, Christine Perfect of Chicken Shack!!.

HERE IS A VERY (VERY) SCARCE AND RARE ORIGINAL 1ST UK PRESSING FROM THE LEGENDARY FLEETWOOD MAC FEATUREING PETER GREEN RELEASED IN THE UK IN 1968 THIS IS EXTREEMELY COLLECTABLE AND HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER ORIGINAL STEREO! (NOT REISSUE)!!!!!

THE VINYL

ON VISUAL INSPECTION THE VINYL STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL SHEEN FROM NEW. ANGLED IN STRONG LIGHT THERE ARE VERY FEW  FINE SURFACE MARKS\SCUFFS\SCRATCHES WHICH HAVE JUST MINIMAL EFFECT ON THE AUDIO IN MY OPINION.

THE AUDIO QUALITY

HAVING PLAYED THIS VINYL TRACK FOR TRACK AT VERY LOUD VOLUME ON A TOP SYSTEM, IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT  THE AUDIO IS CLEAR AND VIBRANT ALL OF THE WAY THROUGH WITHOUT ANY DISTORTION NO SKIPS OR JUMPS AND EXTREEMELY ENJOYABLE THROUGHOUT! PLEASE NOTE! ON SIDE 1 ONLY THERE IS A VERY SMALL SCUFF MARK THAT PRODUCED JUST THREE LIGHT CLICKS OR TICKS THAT'S ALL BUT NOTHING THAT REALLY SPOILT THE OVERALL AUDIO EXPERIENCE ON THIS SIDE IN MY OPINION. SIDE TWO ALSO PLAYS THROUGH AWESOME APART FROM LIGHT BACKGROUND CRACKLE THAT I HEARD MAINLY HIGHLIGHTED ON THE QUIETER LAST BLUES TRACK .HAVEING SAID THAT THERE IS ABSOLUTELY (NO) DISTORTION AT ALL AND NO SKIPS OR JUMPS AND THE RECORD IS VERY PLAYABLE AND EXTREEMELY ENJOYABLE (WITH NO GROOVEWARE THAT I HEARD)!!!! THOSE WHO KNOW THE RECORDS THAT I NORMALLY LIST ON THIS SITE KNOWN THAT MY MAIN CONCERN IS THE AUDIO QUALITY OF THE VINYL AND I RARELY ADVERTISE VINYL THAT IS LESS THAN EXCELLENT CONDITION UNLESSS THE RECORD IS VERY RARE INDEED. THIS ALBUM IS AS I HAVE SAID PREVIOUSLY VERY SCARCE AND COLLECTABLE BUT NOT FOR THOSE AUDIOPHILLES OUT THERE WHO WANT NEAR CD QUALITY HAVEING SAID THAT THIS IS EXTREEMELY ENJOYABLE ALL OF THE WAY THROUGH AND IF YOU DON'T EXPECT PERFECTION ALL OF THE WAY THROUGH YOU WON'T BE DISSAPOINTED WITH THIS ALBUM. BEING AN ORIGINAL MONO RECORDING THE CRACKLES AND LIGHT TICKS IN JUST A FEW PLACES SOMEHOW SEEMS TO BLEND IN CONSISTANT WITH ITS ERA.

TO SUM THINGS UP THE AUDIO IS CLEAR AND VIBRANT WITH LIGHT CRACKLES THAT CAN BE HEARD DURING A QUIETER TRACK ONLY AND THE ODD LIGHT TICK (NOT) CONSISTANT THROUGH OUT THE AUDIO I HEARD (NO) SIGNS OF GROOVEWARE OR THAT THIS HAS BEEN OVERPLAYED! HOWEVER THIS HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED BUT DEFINATELY NOT OVER PLAYED IN FACT IN MY PERSONAL OPINION, ALL INDICATIONS ARE THAT THIS HAS HAD MINIMAL PLAY ONLY!!  THIS VINYL IS 41 YEARS OLD AND WOULD HAVE BEEN PLAYED ON A SYSTEM OF 41 YEARS OLD. I FOUND THE VINYL EXTREEMELY ENJOYABLE ALL OF THE WAY THROUGH WITH NO MAJOR PROBLEMS OTHER THAN THAT PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED. VERY (VERY) PLAYABLE.
