FLASH s/t original UK Sovereign prog lp PETER BANKS M-

1972/UK/Sovereign 21 17414….. here’s a Minty original UK pressing of their rare 1st lp. The band was formed by two ex Yes members Peter Banks and Tony Kaye. The laminated gatefold cover  is in M- condition, there are a few very minor creases on the spine edge, otherwise clean with no wear, splits, or other issues. The vinyl is in M- like new condition. Plays clean! The labels are clean with no spindle marks. A TOP copy for your collection! There is some glare on the picture due to camera flash. Flash was formed in London in 1971 when ex-Peter Bardens Camel singer, Colin Carter, met ex-Yes guitarist, Peter Banks, and soon after co-wrote the Flash hit, "Small beginnings" (#28 on Billboard). Ray Bennett, who had known Banks since early Yes days, heard they were forming a band via his old friend and former bandmate, Yes drummer, Bill Bruford, and was quickly recruited on bass. Flash drummer, Mike Hough was found later after an advertisement was placed in the London weekly music paper, The Melody Maker. Tony Kaye, the first ex-Yes keyboard player, was a session player on their first album and not a permanent band member, as is often reported.
They released three albums with a sound much like early YES. The first FLASH album, a self-titled one, is a classic piece of 70s style prog rock, featuring long compositions, thick bass, twisty guitar, keyboard flash (hmmmmm), and complex YES-like arrangements."In The Can", released the same year, revolves around BANKS' guitar with a more dominant guitar sound. "Out Of Our Hands" is the last FLASH studio album.

MINT: as stated with no defects

M- OR NEAR MINT: as stated near Mint!, or Mint Minus, same thing, very clean with no defect to sound or visual appearance, one scuff or mark may be permitted but it will be mentioned in the description, a near Mint record looks and plays very clean

EXCELLENT: not much below near Mint, may have a delete hole and/or a minor defect or two not visually detracting from the cover, the vinyl will appear shiny and in clean condition with very minor defects not affecting the sound, still very clean and very collectable!

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal cover wear and/or delete/splits, still visually appealing, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much

VG+ a little more cover/ring wear and delete, splits etc., the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects, both cover and vinyl no matter the condition, I also play grade the records on high end equipment and will give an honest play grade as well as visual grade, considering the number of records I buy on line my grading is very conservative and fair.
