I am from a generation that collected and listened to vinyl records (LPs and singles). We listened to radio one every Tuesday at one PM to hear the latest top ten records in the charts. and bought what we could afford with our pocket money or what we earned doing paper rounds etc. I started off buying singles. My first one I bought when I was only 11 I picked it up in a local 2nd hand shop. It was 'Oh Well parts 1 & 2' by Fleetwood Mac (the proper Fleetwood Mac). I learned how to care for my records from my older sister, who also introduced my to the music of Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin to name but a few. When I was old enough to buy my own 'Music centre' (a Fidelity). I made sure that I had all of the accouterments to go with it; My anti-static mat, velvet bib cleaning pad, specially treated cleaning cloth and a little brush and roller arm that you attached to your deck with the aid of a little suction cup. Putting a record on wasn't that simple. In fact it was more akin to a Japanese tea ceremony. I'm sorry to go on, so much. But, I suppose the point I'm trying to make, is that I, like so many record collectors of the time, was pretty anal about the condition of my records and how they were cared for. The records that I am selling here have been well cared for, and are in very good to excellent condition a couple are, in my opinion, near mint. They certainly don't look thirty odd years old!
PARANOID = BLACK SABBATH. VINYL IS NEAR MINT. COVER SHOWS SIGNS OF WEAR(TWO INDENTATIONS).
DOWN IN THE TUBE STATION AT MIDNIGHT= THE JAM. VINYL HAS A FEW SCRATCHES, BUT PLAYS GREAT. I WOULD SAY VGOOD+ .COVER SHOWS SIGNS OF WEAR(TWO SCORED MARKS).
SO LONELY = THE POLICE. VINYL IS EXCELLENT. COVER IS ALSO EXCELLENT.
UNION CITY BLUE= BLONDIE. VINYL IS EXCELLENT. COVER IS ALSO EXCELLENT.
RUN TO THE HILLS = IRON MAIDEN. VINYL IS VERY GOOD++ COVER IS EXCELLENT. I'VE SEEN A SIMILAR COPY SELL FOR OVER £ 8.00 ON EBAY.
ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE ASK. I AM AWARE THAT THE GRADING SYSTEM IS OFTEN MORE A MATTER OF OPINION. BUT I WOULD BE HAPPY WITH THESE RECORDS AS PART OF MY COLLECTION. THANKS FOR LOOKING.
