EXCEPTIONALLY HARD TO FIND COPY OF “THE FIRST MODERNS’ UK 1ST PRESSING ESQUIRE 20-091 FEATURING MILES DAVIS/KENNY DORHAM/ SONNY ROLLINS / MAX ROACH DIZZY GILLESPIE/FATS NAVARRO ET AL. THIS TEN TRACK 10” MONO RECORDING FEATURES HISTORICALLY IMPORTANT CUTS DATING FROM 1949-1951.
The renewed interest in Esquire as a label (Pressed at Decca on quality vinyl) in combination with it’s rarity (Low run releases) and superb condition of this example combine in the record offered in this sale. We have never seen a better copy

CONDITION:
We have been collecting and trading records for many years professionally and genuinely want you to be happy with your purchase. All our records are Loricraft cleaned and inspected under magnified very bright light prior to play grading.
Cover
The Fully laminated cover displays very well. The opening edge is sharp and unfeathered, the seams are crisp and true. Minor spine rub (See image above). The front slick’s imagery is unfaded and striking. The laminated flip back cover displays light yellowing only. The text is superbly sharp and fully legible. No writing, stamps, tears, laminate loss, rips, or other detractors. Condition grade = Genuine Excellent (EX)
Record
The flat well centered Decca pressed playing surfaces display a superb fresh rainbow luster under bright magnified light. Very light paper chaffing only. The labels are in nice condition. The spindle holes present wonderfully with minimal signs of use. No writing, stickers, stamps or other detractors. There is NO warp or buckle, We grade this record without reservation as genuinely Excellent Plus condition (EX+) Please note this is an early recording (Late 40’s and as such is not Audiophile Quality.
