Parlophone issued Love Me Do in October 1962 (only in the UK). Brian Epstein is said to have bought 10,000 copies to push it up the British charts & was apparently successful; it topped out at #17 & marked The Beatles as "a group to watch".
This particular single sports tax code PT. 1st pressings are on red labels; black label #4949s are 2nd press. Don't be fooled by the 1982 red label reissue with "MONO" added to the label print.
