With a career spanning more than 20 years it should come as no surprise that the latest long form from Fin Greenall, AKA Fink, is really rather impressive. After all, we've been here before. It's another deft display of songwriting, and an unrelenting showcase of spellbinding vocal prowess. Easy on the ears, but easy to achieve it undoubtedly was not. Opening with the title track, we're lulled into a place of bliss, lackadaisically floating on the words and intelligent instrumentation of this bonafide maestro. Things come to a head of desperation around "That's How I See You Now", with lines like "It's harder to be left than to leave / At least that's how I see it" indicative of the overall mood. "Rocking Chair" veers into a darker, almost western-tinged soundscape, while "Once You Get A Taste" is all stripped down pop-blues. It's another winner from the multidisciplinarian.
