THE FIELD MICE "For Keeps" – Sarah Records 1991 Bobby Wratten's own TEST PRESSING
Yes, this is actually the test pressing of The Field Mice's sole full-length non-compilation album, 1991's "For Keeps," given to the band's co-founder, singer, guitarist and principal songwriter, Bobby Wratten, by Sarah Records.
I'm the author of the authorized Sarah biography "Popkiss" (2015). Bobby gifted this record to me in 2013 while I was in the UK conducting interviews for the book. It's being auctioned (with Bobby's permission) to help me pay for ongoing medical costs related to a long-term health condition.
I've played the record less than half a dozen times. Visually, the vinyl appears more or less perfect, but there is some light background noise that can be heard between songs and during quiet passages, and a few clicks during the opening track "Five Moments." The record will be shipped in a brand new audiophile-grade Mobile Fidelity sleeve, accompanied by the original paper sleeve.
As a bonus, I'll include a signed copy of "Popkiss" with a personal dedication, and a "Popkiss" badge, which was available only as a giveaway item at a 2017 event in London.
