This is a real treat. Before Silva Screen handsomely reissued this jewel of a soundtrack, the sounds of Terminator 2 were relegated to the tape of DVD unless you managed to get your hands on the expensive bootleg version of it. This soundtrack is absolutely jam-packed with awesome electronic sounds and potential samples. In fact, word has it that this score was massively inspirational to the mid-90's d&b scene, such as the Metalheadz and Virus sounds. You can hear it in the violent, slithering sounds in most of the tracks, most notably on "Escape From The Hospital". The soundtrack is genreless, and each track contains something singular within its arrangement. Sparse soundscapes and lonely strings create the apocalyptic aura featured in the film, while more sinister and fast-paced beats represent the high-speed chases and general sense of persecution. A timeless masterpiece and an important piece of Hollywood music. Don't miss it. Recommended.
