    FHAB 4 Dead Beatles +
Sometimes I Don't Know
(Why You Like Me So Much) 1-sided 7"
(GLU GLU/Monster 8) 1982

Here's a rare one ... I picked it up new at the old Roads to Moscow (probably,
though there's a slight chance it was the Zia Records around the corner)
off Mill Avenue in Tempe some 25 years ago, am pretty sure it was
the first one-sided 7" (other than a couple of flexis, maybe) I ever
owned, have seen it on a couple of bigtime punk collectors'
want lists, know that the label's mailing address was
in L.A., & otherwise am clueless as I can be ...

(... except that I can tell the guys in the band weren't, uh, all that broken
up over John Lennon's death, judging from lyrics like

"I am he as you are me & we are all dead Beatles
yeah yeah yeah
Happiness is a warm gun
& an autographed album
for Mark Chapman

A day in the life of a Beatle
Just might kill ya

Something in the way she moves
makes me wanna walk like a man fast as I can
dead Beatles  yeah yeah yeah

I though I knew where did you go
You were above me but now you're below
Mark Chapman knew that the walrus was Paul
he offed John
Although the holes were rather small
let it be.")

Anyway, obviously only 300 were pressed, as 91/300 is handwritten
in gold ink on the blank B-side's label, below what appears to be
a band member's signature, also in gold ink.

I just gave the record a spin & heard moderate crackling & the occasional pop
throughout, most evident in the run-in, run-off & between-song grooves.

The sleeve shows general light creasing & some light iscoloration from age, as well
as a 1-inch rectangular $1.50 price sticker in the upper right front corner.

About 2/3rds of the lyrics insert is browned from aging, with a 1/2-inch tear in
the left side (about 3 inches above the bottom corner) & a 1/4-inch tear
in the right side (about 1 1/2 inches above the bottom corner).
