FELT The Strange Idols Pattern And Other Short Stories (Cherry Red B-Red 63) RARE UK Import 1st Pressing MINT-

Here`s an original UK first pressing of Felt`s masterful third album "Strange Idols Pattern And Other Short Stories", released on Cherry Red Records (1984).

With its lightly strummed, paisley-tinged guitars, you could swear it was 1967 on the West Coast again, Love maybe, until the vocals set in, then wait...who`s that? Tom Verlaine? Lou Reed by way of a Nico impersonation, perhaps?

No, actually it`s Lawrence of the wondrous Felt, the man recently voted one of England`s most lovable eccentrics by Word magazine! What about the music, then? Don`t ask: it`s simply timeless.

GRADING:

MINT- COVER with a bit of corner scuffing, as well as a few tiny creases to the spine and top edge. Also song times written on the rear cover (small letters in blue ink; behind "Roman Litter" and "Spanish House" only). Please see photos for details.

VG++ RECORD with lightest general hairlining, mostly from sleeve removal. Apart from very sporadic background crackle, the record is pristine.

The labels have "A", respectively "B" written on them in blue ink (on a black background; thus hardly noticeable). This is a rare UK first pressing.
