Rare doo wop group 45 single featuring “FATSO” THEUS and THE FLAIRS on the ALADDIN label, from 1956.  Titles are “BE COOL MY HEART” and “Rock ‘n Roll Drive-In.” 

This is a stock copy, original pressing, burgundy label with silver print.  Catalog number is 45-3324.       

Condition is VG+ to VG++.  Still displays most of the original gloss.  While both sides are in very nice condition, “Be Cool My Heart” is slightly better than the flip.  “Be Cool My Heart” has a few very slight scuffs and a couple very minor small hairlines, but no serious marks.  The flipside has a couple light hairlines in addition to a few slight scuffs, but also no serious marks.   Both sides play with a bit of minor surface noise.  The fidelity is excellent.  The record has been played a very small number of times. 

Both sides have a bit of minor label damage, as can be seen on the scan photos.  The ballad side title is circled in pen, presumably to identify the plug side for air play. 

I found this record in a batch of mid-fifties rhythm n blues singles, many of which are promo copies, none of which appear to have been played very much.   Many had similar damage to the labels due to storage.

I have provided a sound clip of the entire side from this actual record (see below) so you can hear exactly how it sounds.  I do not use any noise reduction software in my sound clips, and I would absolutely never buff or polish a record for cosmetic purposes, so you needn’t worry about any surprises.  This is a great tune which will be a fine addition to someone’s r&b singles collection.
