"This is Fats Domino"....
Here's a super clean playing copy of his classic fourth album...
Issued on London in 1957...HA-P 2073...UK mono pressing...Fully laminated,curved top and bottom flipback sleeve...Complete with original poly lined inner sleeve...The mothers and stampers are:1BU/1I so it's a fairly early copy off the press...It still has it's original Decca inner sleeve! (Unsplit)...The RT tax code is visible in the run out grooves..
The record looks great!...NO visible scuffs or hairlines to the naked eye and it still has a great sheen....
As with all my records,I play them all the way through with a Shure cart tracking at 2G...You need to know exactly what you are getting and I am not going to guess how it sounds by a quick glance!..This plays as good as it looks!..A clean and bright sound with no audio defects...NO clicks or pops (Just a hint of surface noise on a couple of track links is all)..It doesn't stick or jump...It's not dished and has no edge warps...EX is a VERY conservative grade for the record!....
The labels are undamaged with untarnished text...There are absolute minimal spindle trails...It may have only had a couple of plays since it was released nearly 70 years ago!!
The sleeve is better than VG...There are a few minor defects as follows...VERY light cornerwear...Just a hint of ringwear on the back...Slight laminate loss along slightly frayed opening edges...A slight upward bend to the opening edges...A discreet price imprint on the middle back (only visible when angled to the light)....That's it...NO Major defects or damage...
The original Decca inner sleeve has some creasing and a stain on one side but no major defects or damage...(No seam splits either!)..
It's a great example of an elusive LP with some great music!...I think that it's worth £20.00,but I will reduce the BIN price every few days...
