Description
FAT WATER - (mgm4660; Stereo; 1969). *GREAT quality rare 1st run yellow label 'Special Disc Jockey Record' pressing copy of this LP!!! Noticeable audio difference in this pressing! (MGM had a special run of their LPs for promotion when the vinyl was pure and the stampers sharp). (Second pressings used the white label promo version). Psych, heavy rock LP. From Joynson's 'Fuzz, Acid, Flowers' review: "...A mix of psych and heavy rock with good organ and guitars plus the powerful voice of their singer, who was probably influenced by Janis Joplin. This outfit reportedly evolved out of the One-Eyed Jacks from Champaign, IL..." Cuts: "I can be happy, Joshua, Amalynda guinevere, Gimme your sweet, Guitar store song, Only for the moment, It's not the same, Wayback, Waiting for mary, Mistress de charmaign, Santa anna speed queen, Gotta get together". *Vinyl is solid MINT.
