FARM-"THE INNERMOST LIMITS OF PURE FUN/SURF PSYCH" 1968 OST-LP-REBEL RECORDS AUSTRALIA-MEGA RARE!
What I have on sale today is the extremely rare 1968 surf soundtrack by The Farm titled The Innermost Limits Of Pure Fun. This is the rare and almost impossible to find Australian pressing on The Rebel Records DG/270/S222. Has to be THE best condition copy I've seen of this soundtrack, most have been abused and overplayed over the years so you never find one in excellent condition, always VG+ or worse. Here's your chance to bid on one worth throwing
Cover = VERY GOOD. As you'll see by the photo there's some creasing from storage.
Vinyl = EXCELLENT. Looks to have been played rarely. I've played it all the way through and it sounds great, slight crackle in the quieter bits. The record has also been VPI cleaned.
LABELS CLEAN. They look as fresh as the day they were printed !
Rebel Records operated for about two years (1969-70) in Melbourne Victoria , and it released eleven singles and this one LP
The Original Soundtrack to George Greenough's 1968 cult surf movie written and performed by Dennis Dragon (before the Surf Punks ), his brothers Doug and Daryl, (the Captain before Tennille ), and Denny Aaberg, (before Big Wednesday ).
The lead guitarist Denny Aaberg was a keen surfer and well known surf writer from Pacific Palisades ("Big Wednesday" was based on Denny Aaberg's surfing youth, with Bill Pritchard who is also in this soundtrack band), while others in the band have been Beach Boys-connected in the 1980s-90s. Ernie Knapp played bass with the Beach Boys for a year or more, while Dennis Dragon did sound work for them.
Serious bidders here only please....it's breaking my heart to sell the album but due to some pressing bills it must go. Payment within 4 days of purchase please !
