On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Family called 'Music In A Dolls House' and is an ORIGINAL UK 1968 MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press '3-Colour' Reprise label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! THIS WAS FAMILYS FIRST LP EVER (AND IS THEIR RAREST BY FAR!) - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!! BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS THE 'EARLIEST' MONO 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - WITH A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MIX!!!! AND THIS IS COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!! UNLIKE SOME LPS WITH A 'DIFFERENT MIX' - THIS LP WAS TRULY ONLY EVER PRESSED IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS (NO MORE THAN A FEW HUNDRED!)!!!! SOME LPS WITH A 'DIFFERENT MIX' (LIKE THE '606-1' 1ST PRESSING OF THE BEATLES 'REVOLVER' FOR EXAMPLE) ARE RELATIVELY EASILY FOUND - AND WERE PRESSED IN RELATIVELY LARGE AMOUNTS. BUT THIS LP IS SO RARE AS AN 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING WITH THIS 'DIFFERENT MIX' - THAT MOST COLLECTORS DONT EVEN KNOW OF ITS EXISTENCE!!!! I WILL EXPLAIN JUST HOW RARE THIS LP REALLY IS!!!!

WHEN THIS LP WAS DUE FOR RELEASE IN 1968 - THIS LP WAS 1ST PRESSED IN MONO & STEREO. THE 1ST PRESSING RUN BEGAN PRIOR TO RELEASE, AND WHILST THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH THE STEREO 1ST PRESSINGS - AT THE VERY LAST MOMENT THE MONO PRESSINGS WERE STOPPED AND A LAST 'RE-MIX' WAS UNDERTAKEN. APPARENTLY THERE WERE A FEW TRACKS IN THE MONO MIX THAT WERENT QUITE 'FINISHED' AND NEEDED MINOR ADJUSTMENT. ONCE THIS 'RE-MIX' HAD BEEN FINISHED - THE MONO PRESSING RUN RE-STARTED WITH THE NEW MIX - AND 99% OF MONO 1ST PRESSINGS WERE RELEASED WITH THE 'RE-MIX'!!!! HOWEVER, ALTHOUGH MOST MONO 1ST PRESSINGS WITH THE 'UNCORRECTED' MONO MIX WERE DESTROYED - A VERY VERY FEW (NO MORE THAN A FEW HUNDRED!) MONO 1ST PRESSINGS WITH THE ORIGINAL 'UNCORRECTED' MONO MIX LEAKED OUT - AND THESE ARE SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!

AND OF COURSE - IT IS VITALLY IMPORTANT TO CORRECTLY IDENTIFY THAT THIS IS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' MONO 1ST PRESSINGS WITH THE DIFFERENT 'UNCORRECTED' MONO MIX!!!! AND THIS IS VERY EASY TO DO!!!! FIRSTLY BOTH SIDES GROOVES (PARTICULARLY SIDE 2!) LOOK VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE STANDARD MONO 1ST PRESSING - WITH SOME TRACKS HAVING 'NARROWER' BAND-WIDTHS AND A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PATTERN!!!! BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY OF ALL - THIS 'EARLIEST' MONO 1ST PRESSING HAS 1G/1G 'UNCORRECTED' MONO MATRIX ENDINGS (WITH THE ORIGINAL DIFFERENT 'UNCORRECTED' MONO MIX!) - WHICH ALL LATER PRESSINGS SIMPLY DO NOT HAVE!!!! ALL LATER MONO PRESSINGS SIMPLY HAVE THE COMMON 3G/3G 'CORRECTED' MONO MATRIXES INSTEAD!!!! AND ONE VERY CLEAR EXAMPLE OF THIS 'DIFFERENT MIX' ON THIS 'EARLIEST' 1G/1G MONO 'UNCORRECTED' 1ST PRESSING IS ON THE TRACK 'THE BREEZE'. THE VOCALS ARE MUCH MORE 'ECHOED', THE WHOLE TRACK SOUNDS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT, AND AT THE VERY END OF THE TRACK IS WHISPERED LOUDLY 'BREEZE' & REPEATED RIGHT THOUGH TO THE FADE OUT - WHEREAS ON THE STANDARD MONO MIX - THIS IS VIRTUALLY WIPED OUT ALTOGETHER!!!! DONT UNDERESTIMATE THE INCREDIBLE RARITY OF FINDING THIS LP WITH THIS INCREDIBLE DIFFERENT & 'EARLIEST' 1G/1G MONO MIX!!!! THIS LP IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - AND IT WILL SURELY BE A VERY VERY LONG TIME BEFORE YOU SEE ANOTHER ONE!!!! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1968 UK MONO 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS '3-COLOUR' REPRISE LABEL, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 1G/1G MATRIX ENDINGS, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' FLIPBACK LAMINATED 'PATENTS PENDING' MONO COVER!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL Reprise UK 'Earliest' 1st Pressing from 1968 and is in GREAT condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is RLP 6312 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press '3-Colour' Reprise label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st pressing!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in GREAT condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 3 or 4 light hairlines, only 3 or 4 light scufflines, only 2 or 3 TINY surface marks, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!! It is also great to find that the playing of the record is almost as STUNNING as the visual!!!! It plays with only a VERY few light clicks/pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some absolutely MEGA faint touches of ULTRA low level background on the run on grooves and VERY occassional gap - NOT in the music AT ALL!!!! And whilst the majority of the record has SUPERB sound quality with NO groovewear and NO distortion - there is a slight amount of distortion on parts of 'Mellowing Grey', and the VERY odd isolated touch on a couple of other tracks (though the rest play SUPERBLY)!!!! The record must grade Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed) if not better!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!! The 1st Press Flipback Laminated MONO Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a few light creases (cover is flat looking), VERY shiny laminate, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in BRILLIANT condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL (virtually NONE!), and barely ANY yellowing AT ALL!!!! The cover must grade Very Good++ if not better!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!
