Description

Hello- I'm Bill, and over the next few weeks I'll be selling off my treasured record collection, a course of action forced on me by an imminent move and enforced retirement. I've collected music all my adult life, and will be sad to see it all go . My tastes have varied over the years, as you'll see, but folk and rock have been the backbone of my collection.Over the next few weeks there will be some rarities appearing, believe me! All records will be in at least EX condition, and a lot of NM's too. I'm loathe to use NM, once it's played, it's played, but I try to stick to the RC guidelines, even if my grading is too severe! All records are inspected under a good light, and none are cleaned, only brushed. I know everyone has their own favourite cleaning methods, so why deprive you of the pleasure?(Jan 06)

Now back after a longer than expected hospitalisation and recovery, I’m fit and back on course. Many apologies to those of you who have been waiting to see what comes next. Hopefully this weekend’s offerings will satisfy!......Bill. (Apr 15 06)

As we get into May, I’m mixing things up a bit. Some blues, lots of folk, of course, and some rock too!

I’ll soon be starting on my extensive ‘DONOVAN’ collection- lots of 1st presses etc, and some superb copies!!

Here goes……

A RARE FIRST PRESSING ON ISLAND ILPS 9102 of

‘UNHALFBRICKING’

From 1969 , with the Island ‘BLOCK LOGO’. THIS IS THE FIRST PRESSING, DESPITE WHAT THE R.C. GUIDE SAYS. THE SUPPOSED VERSION WITH THE ‘EYE’ LOGO HAS, TO MY KNOWLEDGE, NEVER BEEN COLLECTED. THE A1, B1 Matrices prove this to be a first pressing.

The E J DAY unlaminated cover is excellent-just a tiny amount of edge and corner wear, a real beauty! The spine is slightly flat.

The inner sleeve is excellent.

The vinyl has a few sleeve-removal scuffs and wispy hairlines, but plays superbly. It’s actually on as I type!

Had the manufacturers had Nagaokas in those days, there would be a lot more perfect records about now!

One not to be missed!

Unbelievably  rare these days, this one is a real collector’s piece.

All records are repacked into Nagaoka anti-static sleeves and card inners, with the original inners and cover separate to maintain condition, and posted in heavy duty mailers wth stiffeners.Postage is a non-profit affair- no £5 jobs here!

All will be sold with NO reserve, so bid away, and good luck!

I prefer PAYPAL for payment, and I don’t pass on their charges!

As you all no doubt noticed, I have mistakenly inserted the text for my 'UNHALFBRICKING' listing. Many apologies- the correct details are below. The cover has a pressure mark, but that can be seen in the photos. Apologies..Bill. Label……………………ISLAND ILPS 9092 A, B.
