This is the original UK Double LP by FAIRPORT CONVENTION, THE HISTORY OF FAIRPORT CONVENTION, 1972 Stereo, 1st Press on the Pink Rim ISLAND label ICD4. Original 1972 UK family tree gatefold cover with the red real and dark blue ribbon and stapled in booklet inside, and the original 1972 UK 1st issue turquoise polythene lined ISLAND records inner sleeves.
This superb double LP is a compliation of their best songs from their previous 6 LP's :- all released originally within 2 years of each other a astonishing output of music in that time scale

The original 1972 UK 1st issue MacNeill Press matt finished gatefold family tree, with red seal and DARK blue ribbon cover is in EX+++ condition, lovely and clean and fresh, mantaining all its original rich bright vibrant colour. The cover only has very very light wear to the corners. The broad spine is lovely and broad, (not squashed as, as most are) clean and fresh and perfectly readable.Their is no unwanted writing and no seam splits. The lovely 6 page stapled in paper booklet is in MINT- condition, clean, fresh and bright, perfect colours and printing, no rips, no stains, beautiful!, VERY NICE COVER 1st issue cover!
1, 2 and 3 sides are in a STUNNING MINT- condition!!, Side 4 is in EX+++ condition having only 1 very very fine hairline mark ( non-audioable), barely visuable under a bright light. ALL FOUR SIDES, BOTH VINYL'S maintain all their original gleaming 'Just Presssed' shine and lustre, BARELY PLAYED, POSSIBLY 2-3 times at the very most and played with extreme care!. I have played all 4 sides, (very carefully), and im delighted to say that from start to finish the vinyl's plays ** MINT- !!! **, playing with super crisp clear clarity!, the quality of the Stereo on this pressing, is OUTSTANDING!!!!, playing with such depth and warmth!, resonating beautiful rich tones!, SIMPLY STUNNING!, CRYSTAL CLEAR AUDIO, ABSOLUTELY STUNNING, OUTSTANDING!, EVERY NOTE, VOCAL, BACKING AND PERCUSSION INTRUMENT CAN BE HEARD WITH CRYSTAL CLEAR CLEAN CLARITY!!!. A WONDERFUL LISTENING EXPERIENCE, TOP TOP QUALITY STEREO PRESS!, AUDIO PERFECTION!!!!, SIT BACK, PLAY THE VINYL, AND I CAN GUARANTEE YOU WILL BE BLOWN AWAY BY THE SHEER QUALITY OF THE OUTSTANDING STEREO, YOU WILL BE SMILING FROM EAR TO EAR!, ******** PERFECTION ********, VERY RARE TO FIND THIS LP WITH THIS OUTSATNDING QUALITY OF SOUND, a soft production, with a lot of quiet tracks with quiet sections in.
The Pink Rim ISLAND label's are all in (all four sides) MINT- condition, lovely and clean and factory fresh, both label's have no unwanted writing, the centre spindle hole shows no wear, ONLY few very very light (barely visualble- even under a bright light) small re-allignement traces. A CLEAR INDICATION THAT THIS VINYL HAS POSISBLY BEEN ONLY PLAYED 2-3 TIMES maximum.
The vinyl's are housed in their original 1972 1st issue UK ISLAND turquoise polythene lined inner sleeves and in EX+++ /MINT- condition, the inner sleeves are super clean maintaining all their original bright vibrant turquoise colour, not faded at all, their is no unwanted writing and no seam splits.
