For your consideration is FACE TO FACE Don’t Turn Away from Dr. Strange Records (1991). This is an extremely rare, ORIGINAL, 1st Pressing of their debut album. This is the black vinyl version. Chances are, if you’re reading this description, you know the story. But for those who don’t, here are the details. Dr. Strange Records released Don’t Turn Away on vinyl in 1991. At the time, Face to Face was constantly playing shows, and because of the impact they were having, these records were selling out fast. So the band signed a deal with Fat Wreck Chords with the hopes that they could re-release Don’t Turn Away in higher quantities to keep up with the demand. The Fat Wreck Chords release changed the blue background on the sleeve to a brick red color and the rest is history. The original pressings on Dr. Strange records (with the blue background on the sleeve) are rare and highly sought after. This copy has been in my possession since 1995. The sleeve has multiple creases and dents. The insert has some minor wear, and the record has a few light scratches, but nothing too severe. Please review the photos for details and let me know if you have any questions. It should be noted that this is NOT a high grade copy. I’m not a vinyl collector, so I don’t know how to properly classify the wear. I can say that it was only played on a few occasions, the last time being in 1995. While I’m a huge fan of Face to Face, I had all of their CDs, so that’s what I played. I always considered this to be more of a collector’s item. To protect and preserve the integrity, this record will be carefully packed.
