ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This handsome and rare 2-LP set from Da Camera Magna (SM 92403/4, German pressing, purple/silver labels, stereo) features the enigmatic pianist Jacqueline Eymar and the Kehr Trio in a magnificent traversal of Brahms's 3 Piano Quartets (No. 1 in G minor Op. 25, No. 2 in A Major Op. 26, and No. 3 in C minor Op. 60), all warmly recorded at the Tonstudio Heidelberg on 13 and 15 September 1968.
The Kehr Trio was comprised of violinist Günter Kehr, violist Erich Sichermann, and cellist Bernhard Braunholz.
The interior panels of the gatefold jacket carry extensive liner notes (uncredited), printed in German, French, and English. This album was produced by Teije van Geest.
CONDITION – PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the gatefold jacket is EXCELLENT. There is slight corner wear and minor instances of discoloration, but really that is all. There are no seamsplits, bends, owners' markings, or other defects and the album remains solid, bright, glossy, and very striking in appearance – overall, a very good collector's copy.
The condition of the 2 LPs is near-MINT throughout and playback is superb in both – overall, these rate as truly fine collector's copies.
