EXTREMELY RARE
"The Celebrity Selection of Children's Stories"
1983 LP
Paul & Linda McCartney sleeve notes
NEW!
1983 saw the release of this charity LP (in aid of the NSPCC) which featured eight children's stories read by Angela Rippon, Matthew Kelly, Sally James, Mary O'hara, John Craven, Una Stubbs, Isla St. Clair and Nanette Newman. However the reason the record is collectable especially amongst fans of the Beatles is that Paul and Linda McCartney wrote the sleeve notes. Stories include Victoria Plum, Dr. Snuggles and the Munch Bunch.
Although the record does occassionaly come up for sale it is always in poor condition as some child has played it to death and put his/her grubby fingers on the cover. However despite this record being 35 years old it is brand new and has never been played (guaranteed) and has been in my possession all that time and carefull stored in an upright position. The sleeve is pristine sharp corners - no damages and as the record has never been played it is in virginal condition.
